About
Ringwraith is my project to draw together useful information, materials and resources regarding my own varied personal hobbies and interests.
The name Ringwraith is a homage to JRR Tolkein's epic fantasy novel The Lord of the Rings, and draws on the fact that I am a keen bellringer. The Ringwraith logo consists of a church bell minus fittings and a group of interlinking black arrows fletched with blue feathers, with white arrow wraps and orange nocks, which is how I fletch the arrows that I shoot.
The motto "one cut, two timbers" refers to an incident where two intertwined trees fell down together when I sawed through the trunk of one of them, hence one cut, two timbers!
